Details Bookings Meeting Format Prices, Times & More Last Updated: 09th May 2025 14:09 10th May 2025 PreviewBriSCA F1, BriSCA F2, National Ministox, Sun Only Classic F1 Stock Cars Welcome to the first Speed Weekend of 2025! Racing this weekend are BriSCA F1, BriSCA F2 and the National Ministox A tribute will be paid to Barry Tempest at 5.45pm on the 10th before the meeting, this will also be shown on the live Stream. This weekend the BriSCA F1s will be racing for Andrew Battye Memorial on the Saturday and the UK Championship on the Sunday sponsored by the Kaleta Family in memory of Eddie. On Sunday Tom Harris (1) will be going for an unprecedented fourth win in a row. Harris is the only driver to have won back to back to back UK opens, however, Andy Smith (391) has four wins (1993, 1995, 1997, 2000) and Franke Wainman, Jr (515) has five .2001, 2003, 2006, 2009, 2015) Wainman has been resurgent this season and could be on target for a sixth victory, but he will face tough opposition, not least from the young guns such as Henry Robson (67), Callum Thornton (368), Finn Sargent (526), and Kyle Gray (124), all of them had great results here last time out. And you can never rule out Ant Whorton-Eales (408), who is always a threat to win around the Skegness oval. Whoever wins, they will have deserved it as the best of the best in BriSCA F1 tarmac drivers will be here this weekend. The F2s had a new winner last time out when Luke Grimer (88) took the chequered flag, Luke has had a steep learning curve in the rear-wheel-drive F2s, but he is showing his potential and we look forward to seeing him climb the grades during the year. The F2s have been here in good numbers, and the racing has been exciting and spectacular from them this season. The National Ministox always provide some great racing, and many of the drivers racing in the F1s and F2s started their racing careers in the National Minstox. Archie Grindey (155), who has won two F2 finals at Skegness this season was racing in Ministox this time last year, and Henry Robson, winner of our first F1 meeting of the year on Good Friday, is a graduate from the formula. The Ministox driver line up is always in a state of change as drivers must retire from the sport on their 16th Birthday, and drivers move on to the adult formula, others take their place. One driver who is starting out their racing career is Toby Willis (337), son of F1 driver Dave. Toby is hoping to make his debut this weekend, and we hope he enjoys the experience, but all these youngsters deserve our applause, no matter where they finish in a race, they are the future of our sport. Premeeting on the Sunday at approx. 11.30am we will pay tribute to Frankie Wainman Senior.
